Places like Nanjing, Yangzhou, Suzhou, Luoyang, Yangshuo, Chimahu, Wuhan, Xuancheng and Yulin gave me a more rounded view of a country that’s very hard to generalise about, and, of course, this knowledge goes straight to you, the reader.
